: I am in the process of installing a new ceramic tile floor in my bathroom. Underneath the original tile was a 1 inch layer of "sandstone" that had to be removed. MY follor is now 1 inch lower than it was before, and the pipe for the toilet sits one inch higher than it should, meaning when the toilet is attached, it is not flush with the concrete slab, it rises 1 inch above. What can be done to correct this? Thanks!

John,
It sounds like you need something back on the floor to raise the level back up, or you need to lower the flange. If it's in concrete, I would think it would be easier to raise the floor to the previous height.
