Did you have to put a plug in the shower faucet to seal the extra opening? And if so did you use a brass plug. It appears that there is a steel fitting close to the valve that is creating a rust pocket that you have to drain first before getting clear water. : I just replaced my shower faucet....nothing major...did have to sweat two new fittings on to replace an old style.....no problems their. : Had no leaks....faucet works fine....BUT...(Example)I wake up in the morning and dirty looking water comes out for a few seconds then clears. No other faucet in the house does it...not even the bathroom sink......only the shower. (Yeah,I am puzzled) : Also now I have a small knocking sound in my pipes late at night that has only occurred since I changed my shower faucet.....what could that be? : Any help is greatly appreciated : Robert
