|In response to Re: New Dishwasher install|
The dishwasher needs power, water and waste. Similar to a washing machine the drain connects into the plumbing, usually at an adjacent sink
drain. The water supplied is from the hot side.
If your going to get it inspected check codes.
: I have an older dishwasher that I acquired and would like some advice as to how to install it since we have never had one in before. It is going in with it's own power source and drain line. My husband is installing it and is really quite handy, but has never installed a dishwasher before. Does the drain have to be higher than the output? This is the only thing that is really stumping him. He is afraid that it will act like a cyphon if it is low. Thanks for any input.
