In response to Re: Mineral deposit in house water lines

: Over the past two weeks my water lines in my house have been passing small mineral-like deposits from every faucet. The mineral deposit will crumble with a little pressure by hand. It clogs up the faucet filters and I have to clean them once a day. This includes the shower heads. I drained my water heater thinking it may have been a build up of mineral deposits passing through the hot water lines. But that was not the case. The house was built in the late 70s and has a concrete foundation. What could be causing this mineral problem? It's really frustrating.

You may have a failing dip tube on the water heater.
