Since a power vent needs to know when the water heater's gas supply is on, heating the water, they come integrated into some gas hot water tanks. I'd have to buy a tank, available from several companies, with that feature. One tank, for example, offered it as a $250 add-on feature. Oh well, since the tank is only a couple years old, I guess my next call will be to the chimney guys to find out how much a stainless-steel liner will run.
