etc. until the cause of the up-chucking potty is determined.
Sounds to me like your main sanitary drain is misbehaving. Have you checked to see if your sewer is backed up...check with your neighbors to see if they are experiencing similar problems, this will alert your neighbors to the fact that you are, and that you may be in need of a little hospitality if your potty remains out of service for a while.
