In response to Re: Toto sits out 2 1/2 inches from wall by design????

: I am installing a new toto drake which I thought used a 12" roughin. However, when I test the placment of the toto with the back and backlid on, I have 2 1/2 inches of clearance between the back of the toilet and the wall. Can this be by design?? I thought flush or 1 inch away from the wall was standard and I'd like to get an offset to move it back 2 inches so I can have a little more usable space. Is there an offset that will just fit over my current flange which took me a long time to find? I used an Oatey Twist-N-set flange because I have an old soil pipe out of metal or iron that comes up to floor level and then folds over on the floor. The old toilet was just then bolted to the floor around the flange.(wax seal too of course).
: I appreciate any ideas or information here
: thanks!

On a 12" Rough-in, the Toto Drake will be 3/4" from the wall. If you have 2-1/2", then the roughin must be about 14" from the wall.

There is no offset you can buy for the Drake.
The Vespin, Carlyle and some others can be changed with a 14" rough Unifit adapter.
