If you just want a rough estimate then you lose about a pound for every two feet of elevation. That is the static pressure when no water is being used. The dynamic pressure is a combination of the static pressure and the friction loss from the water flowing through the pipes. That is often more of a factor than the difference in elevation. : I have 45 PSI water pressure in my basement. Is there a formula I can use to determine the pressure on the 2nd floor?
