I've have seen lead chiseled out of a hub. It is time consuming and teadious. You should be able to have access around the entire hub. A narrow chisel will work. : Hi all. I was wondering if anybody had suggestions for working a rotted vent pipe from a sound : cast iron hub. I've inspected the main pipe and its sound and I'd like to avoid a complete replacement. : How well does heat work and would I need a something bigger than my handyman's propane torch. : Thanks in advance, : Chris
