I had to turn off the house water at the main entry to the house so that I could fix a kitchen faucet. Turning water back on the pressure (cold water) from all faucets, toilets etc is higher than it used to be.
Hot water tank relief valve is bleeding.
Main entry has a stop cock, then meter, then a riser with a bell shaped ??regulator?? on it before the split cold water/hot tank. I did not touch the regulator. Closing the main valve back down gradually has no effect.
Should I just adjust the regulator?
Any suggestions welcome! TIA!
