Unless you mistyped and meant 1 1/2" instead of 1/2" then the answer is no. 1 1/2" is the smallest size pipe you should use and even that is limited depending on how far it has to run. : Is there a web-site that has plumbing codes available to the public? I live in Georgia and the SBCCI is used here. I'm looking for the standard to use on drainage for a non-solids water drain. I'm ready to install 1-1/2" (local plumber stated was standard) but I am only moving water, no solids. Can a simple 1/2" be used? I've searched for a while now and have not found a site stating what to use. Calling the County, they state to see the SBCCI. And the SBCCI wants to charge for any codes released.
