: I installed new 1/2" copper supply lines to a new bathroom and after soldering them had to put a slight amount of pressure/torque on one to get a nailer in place for putting the floor back on. Is putting pressure on these pipes, specifically the joints, something that will be problematic? It's not a significant amount. Theoretically putting pressure on a solder joint reduces its strenght.An insignifficant amount ,like a baseboard ,probably wont hurt anything as long as there arent any nails touching it.Good luck Mike
