I'm going to install a ceramic tile tub/shower surround. Some of the books I've seen recommend a waterproof barrier placed under the tiles, others say just use the normal plywood/wonderboard/tile combinations. Is there a reason the simpler approach can't be used in this wet location? The thought of slapping waterproof felt down with asphalt adhesive sounds like a nightmare waiting to happen. Randy |
