|In response to Re: Wall-hung toilet leaking at outlet|
: I have residential wall-hung toilets in my home. One is apparently leaking at the waste outlet. How do I reinstall this toilet and what do I use for a gasket?
We have an Eljer from 1983 that we're dealing with a similar problem. I called Eljer and they said use a standard wax ring.
One word of caution - don't let this go on too long. When the back of the toilet overflowed the drywall got wet. The bottom of the toilet then pushed in and this appears to have put uneven pressure on the support flanges, one of which unfortunately cracked.
The wall mount on the other side of the wall has come loose from the water damage to the drywall, so I have emptied it and supported it and need to remount it.
Good luck with yours, don't put it off!
