|In response to Re: Hot water pressure & temp problem|
The hot water is taking a while to get to the shower. Using hot water elsewhere first brings the hot water to the bathroom and then the shower gets hot immediately. The pressure is building up because you have a closed system and need an expansion tank in the piping somewhere.
: I have moved into a brand new home, and found that the best I can get for my morning shower is luke-warm water. However, if I use some hot water first, and then wait a short while, I get plenty of hot water from the shower. I've also noticed that after even light use of hot water, the pressure in the tank goes up to around 160 PSI (I put a guage on the tank), the PRV opens and drips for a while, and then the pressure slowly goes back to between 46 to 60 PSI.
: Any ideas, the builders plumber is baffled ...
