The easiest way is with a snap cutter which you do not have. The next option is with an electric cut-off wheel, which you might. The hardest way is using a saber saw with a carbide blade. Just cut out the piece you need to install the connection.

: I need to tie into my cast iron stack in the basement with a drain for my kitchen sink. There is no spot in the hub on the needed side for this tie in. I was considering cutting out a section of the stack from the basement floor to the basement ceiling and replacing with PVC and the necessary connections for the kitchen sink drain. HOW DO YOU CUT THROUGH THIS STUFF????? Any other suggestions regarding this do-it-yourself project would be greatly appreciated. This is all due to a kitchen remodel and the need to re-route the drain plumbing.
