anti-siphon sillcock

I recently installed a 3rd new sillcock on the side of my house. The plumber said that unless he installed anti-siphon attachments, the new job would not pass the plumbing inspector. Our relative looked at the sillcock and advised that these were newer models that already had the anti-siphon device. Here is the question. Since 2 of the 3 sillcocks have to be drained. Is is possible for water to get caught between the 2 sillcocks and freeze? Do you think that we will have a problem? I was also told that once you put the device on, you cannot take it off. Is that true.?
