: I am replacing a wax ring on a toilet. Originally the flange was about 3/8" below the floor. I've done repairs to the floor but now the flange is only about 1/16" above the floor. I cannot find a flange spacer that has holes which line up with the old flange (which is made of pvc but about 22 yrs. old). My question is with a 1/16th of an inch above the floor flange, do I need to use a spacer? I'm already about 5/16" better off than when I started.

That sounds pretty flat to me.
Depending on the toilet, you may get by with one wax ring, sometimes two. When installing, you will want to feel the wax settle in some. Terry
