I own a 40 year old home. All of the "risers" were replaced when the bathrooms and kitchen were redone. None of the horizontal pipes have been replaced. I am now experiencing blockage on all cold water faucets. The blockage appears yellow and is course (sand-like, or small ball shaped). There is some black residue, but the vast majority is this yellow junk. Is this an indication that the horizontal pipes need replacing NOW - or is this an indication of another challenge. It is NOT happening on the hot side - and there doesn't appear to be much of this yellow residue in the hot water tank. Thanks. |
