Securing it would be desirable, but considering that very few are anchored, especially if the pipe is well secured in the floor, it is not 100% required. In any case, the floor should be tiled before the flange is installed and then the flange goes on top of the tile. You can then anchor it. : Terry, : I've read your responses to questions regarding installing toilet flanges on concrete floors. Is gluing the flange to the pvc pipe sufficient to hold the toilet? or should I put in anchors prior to laying ceramic tile. IF anchors are required can I first lay the tile then drill and install the anchors. : Thanks for your help!
