Painting Of Mica Kitchen Cabinets

Our Kitchen Cabinets are Mica (bone) and we are getting ready after 20 years to replace the couter tops with a Florenat a solid surface. The question is can the cabinets be painted and what do you suggest? Also, we have bone appliances that are not that old, can they be painted too. I will have to have someone professional do all this work because I , myself can not draw a straight line! Thank You, Deb
