sewer line--cost to replace

I am considering purchasing a home built in 1916. We've asked the sellers to replace the sewer line because our inspector indicated sewer lines typically last about 80 years. They have declined to do so. I'm wondering how much it would cost to fix if it fails in the future. Given that the entire pipe is old, I am guessing that even if there were defects in select places, we would need to get the entire pipe replaced. Any advice you can provide would be appreciated.
