toilet relocation

We're remodelling our bathroom. The old floor is being torn up down to the joists. I wanted to take this opportunity to switch locations of the toilet and sink. Right now the toilet sits about 12" from the stack (and about 1" from the door which is the problem). I want to move it about 2' over along the same wall. I know the old pipe is cast iron and I have a chain cutter to tap into it. I"m going to extend it with black plastic pipe. My question is, WHAT ARE THE CONCERNS I SHOULD HAVE ABOUT ENSURING PROPER DRAINAGE OF WASTE? Is there a minimum slope that the toilet drain line has to have? Any input is appreciated.
