: I'd like to ask if a double wye can be laid flat (including an appropriate pitch) and still function appropriately receiving waste from the wye on each side. I have 2 toilets back to back that do not have room below for a straight-down waste configuration. I need to run the waste line horizontally and wanted to use a 3 inch double wye to receive each toilet and the center line in would provide the vent.
: After looking at the double wye, I am doubtful that the waste will move with the correct fluidity when laid horizontally.
You would be better off to aim for one of the toilets, and wye off for the second one. Keep in mind, that each toilet will still have it's own vent. Terry
