Sometimes water gets trapped in the line and the solder doesn't take. Make sure there isn't any water. Just a thought, from what I can see from here. : Mom lives in an old house with flexible copper sprinkler pipes. We tried to replace a sprinkler head. Bought new copper fittings. Sprinkler head soldered well to new short piece and elbow and shorter copper piece. But the last new piece wont make good solder connection to old pipe. We used lead free solder, flux, sandpaper, torch, etc. New connection to old connection leaks. Any suggestions?
