Can one put a sewer ejector pump outside of the house?

Mr. Love,
I am planning on building a few rooms and a full bath
in my basement. The problem is that the main drain
exits the house right at floor level as there is back fill behind the wall and it runs from there to the
septic tank which appears to be just a little lower than floor level....so I doesn't appear that I have enough drop to install a standard bath assembly using
gravity....so I have thought about using the ejector pump like the "little giant" but was wondering can it
be installed right outside the exterior wall so as not to have the noise and possible oders etc....
