If it is like most of the ones that filled that way, you cannot convert it. You would have to install a second faucet above that one for the shower. That drain/faucet combination was the epitome of unsanitary cross connections. : HI, : We recently purchased a 100+ year old cast iron tub which sits on : a pedestal (skirt) thingy. The unique thing about this tub is that : it fills from the drain up, not through a faucet. We would like : to make this tub into a tub/shower combination and it came with : solid brass plumbing ... How can we convert this to a shower combo. : without having to waste the beautiful solid brass fittings? Any advice : would be appreciated! Thanks :)
