: tiolet starting backing up and over flowed. Shut water off and plunged it for 1 hour no luck. Do not have a snake yet. put dishwasher soap down hoping to dislove to lump of p...p. Help any way to fix with out tearing the tiolet out or is a snake the answer.

Dishwasher soap is not likely to do the job.
I would guess too much paper.
Plunging with short quick strokes, and then pulling the plunger up and away quickly may do it. Some people pour in a bucket of water right into the bowl. If these don't work, try the snake, and then at last resort, you may have to pull the toilet and pull whatever is there from the lower end. Terry
