You are mixing two different items. The ones under the sink are just for the sink. The ones for the whole house are installed in a closet or some central location. The only ones that can effectively serve a whole house are gas units. Unless you use a unit at each bathroom and sink area, there is minimal savings. : Please tell me your opinion on the little water heaters that can be installed under the kitchen sink and give instant hot water for all the house. Are they a good idea....do they do what the mfgr. say they will do....and are the savings significant? : ////thanks : Bob :
