Wax rings are cheap and flex supplies are easy to change. Give it a shot, just don't tighten too hard or you may crack the china. : Thanks for the info. The orginal toilet was fine but the new one only has an 1/2 space for the gasket and flange. : Unfortunately I am married so it is not a good option at this point to switch.
