: I am trying to find a way to use a 6' long cast iron drop-in tub as a shower. The reason I am doing this is that I can't find a 6' long cast iron tub with integral apron, so I am forced to use a drop-in. There isn't space in the room for a separate shower. Since the tub will have to be mounted in some sort of platform, will I have water problems due to the horizontal surface of the platform outside the lip of the tub if I use the tub for showering? (The tub will be closed in on three sides.)

You would be using a nailing flange, plastic or metal, (alumimum) that is Siliconed to the edge of the tub. Terry
