I'm just in the design stage of remodeling the upstairs bath. I've been to several places to get design
ideas and prices. We need to replace the shower base (34 X 42) and wanted to go with a solid surface.
I saw where Swan Corp had a solid surface shower base (Swanstone) just that size at a reasonable
price. However, every place I've gone treats Swanstone like the plague and wants to quote me a
custom Corian shower base at an outrageous price. Is there anything wrong with Swanstone? If so,
what? Do they crack? What about a custom cultured stone product. Would these be any better?
