Refrig is pooling water to bottom of unit/inside unit

I have a Magic Chef Refrig. that is about 12 years old now. It has a separate area for freezer and for refrig items(top/bottom). It also has an automatic icemaker. The auto icemaker hasn't worked for a couple of years and I've left the aluminum handle in the off ice making position. For the last month (all of a sudden) I have this pool of water forming in the very bottom of the refrig. Basically underneath the crisper/veggie single drawer. Does this have anything to do with the icemaker? Basic question, how do I stop this pooling of water in the bottom of the refrig. It must be sponged up every 2-3 days now or it starts running out the front of the drawer. Thank you very much.
