You know the cause. The main sewer backed up. You need a plumber to devise a cure. Either an "overhead sewer" conversion or a combination backwater valve/evacuator pump will be the most reliable options. : We just bought a great house 3 weeks ago. In process of rehabing it. Finished the basement and during a flash storm last thursday sewage flooded up through the basement drain and ruined everything. We have a creek behind us. Some of the neighbors say the creek is the cause. We contacted the city and they are looking into it. Should we get a plumber to find the cause, were not sure where to start, what to do or what the costs will be. Can someone give us info. Thanks, Bob
