I am installing a bathtub in my basement bathroom. I have broken an opening in the concrete floor to allow connection of the tub drain to my home's drain waste system. The bathtub will sit on the basement floor slab. I will be using a PVC p-trap with glued fittings and will connect to a PVC drain stack below floor level. When the drain assembly is complete, I want to redo the concrete floor where I have broken it out for the drainage work. My question is, what kind of drain assembly should I be using, since the end of it will be encased in the concrete floor? What is the best drain assembly material for this type of installation? Thank you.
