I have a Cuthbert Three Handle Shower with a hot water drip. I have removed the index button, handle screw, handle, estucheon, estucheon tube and the packing nut. I cannot loosen the stem by rotating it (it hits an internal stop). All i see is the stem, some black packing at the back. On the outside (the tube surrounding the stem) is some copper thread which extends to the wall.
The problem is there doesn't seem to be a hex nut. I think what I am looking for is called the bonnet. However, unless it is small and behind the black packing within the copper thread I don't see where it could be.
Any advice and or past experience would be greatly appreicated.
