We have a new home built in 2000. Since day one we have had "sand" in our hot water. Our plumber tried filters, etc. without success. After 8 months our first waterheater failed. When we still had "sand" with the second waterheater, we sent in a sample for testing. It turned out to be aluminum, iron and copper. We have now been told that our waterheater is being chewed up by electolosis. Electricians and plumbers have not found a cure. Any suggestions?
