|In response to Re: grinder pump|
Agrinder pump is a sewage ejector pump. Its called a grinder because of the style of manufacture gives it ample tourque to grind up sewage waste, and the occasional sanitary napkins, small enough to pressure dump it into a pressure sewer system. Depending upon the manufacturer and the model they are extremely reliable, and can last longer than ten years. Most carry a standard one year warrantee to be free of defects in manufacture. If you really like the house and want to put an offer on it, make the offer contingent upon a homeowners inspection policy conducted by licensed professionals to certify that the systems will be free from defect for three years.Make sure the system is adequately covered by your new homeowners insurance policy.
: I'm interested in purchasing a home with agrinder pump. I never heard of one until now. A few questions: 1.How reliable are they? 2. How long do they last typically? Do they carry any sort of warrenties?
