Singing Pipes
Posted by Randy Vose on June 03, 2001 at 22:40:23:
Our house is just over three years old and we have developed a problem with "singing" pipes.
The problem is definitely pressure-related, as I can adjust the regulator WAY down and the problem goes
away. However, at the point where the singing stops, I have virtually no water pressure in the house.

I have adjusted the regulator now to where the singing only occurs when the washing machine runs, but
it's still incredibly load. I've tried bleeding air out of the system several times with no luck. Before I call
a professional to come out and take a look, is there anything else I can check? I'm starting to think
that the regulator is defective and that the flow through there is causing my problem.

Thanks!
