You can do it the plumber's way and use a reducing coupling to sweat them together, or the refrigeration mechanics's way of slipping the smaller tube into the larger one and brazing them together, depending on what the application is. : How do you connect 1/2 (o.d.) inch soft copper tube to 1/2 (i.d.) inch hard copper pipe? : Can I sweat or must I use the compression adapter fitting. I perfer to sweat. The compression likes to leak. : Thank you : Raul
