Remove the valve again, this time look at the threads. If they look damaged in any way, run a tap and die on them, put pipe dope on the female threads and dope and teflon tape on the male threads, and reinstall, or replace the valve. : I have a Kemore (super capacity genius plus) water softner. It has been installed 5 years. About 2 days ago I discover a leak near the bypass installation valve. It is dripping, slowly, from the inlet side. : I disconnected the valve body from the bypass installation valve and check the o-rings. Though they looked OK, I replaced them with new one, lubed them with a little petroleum grease and reconnected the valve body. Still leaks. : To make a long story short I have moved, adjusted and tweaked the position of the softner and can not stop the leak. : Any ideas?
