|In response to Re: Recirc line without the pump|
If the present piping is installed properly, which is not a given, then a pumpless system will work. Otherwise there is no possibility of it functioning properly. The only way to tell is to have a competent plumber check the system and see if the gradients are suitable. This will take a plumber who is knowledgable about gravity systems, not a plumber who will say, "You want it? I can do it?" and then when it does not work will say, well you told me to put it in.
: Have recently purchased a 60 yr old ranch style house with the water heater 40-50 ft away from the bathroom. It takes forever to get any hot water to fill the tub. Other than installing a pump, is there another method of running a recirc line without the pump installation? I've been told that there might be. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
