: I feel like a complete idiot, I cannot figure out how to remove a Kohler Bath Spout. The spout has a small slot in the rear, but I cannot see any type if screw or such in there. The replacement part has an allen screw just inside the opening. Thank you.

Looking into the slot, is there a 1/2" pipe?
It may be a threaded spout, counterclockwise would remove it.
If the new spout is a slip spout with the allen fitting, you may need to solder a 1/2" male adapter onto a bit of 1/2" copper pipe.
That, or get a threaded spout and the proper size threaded pipe extender( pipe nipple )
