You remove the handle and the outer stop tube. Then you pull the horseshoe shaped clip out of its groove to release the cartridge. Finally you pull the cartridge out of the faucet and install a new one. This step can be the hardest one if you do not have the proper tools and some luck.

: I have a Moen single handle tub faucet doing the same thing. How do I fix it?
: : You have to specify the brand and possibly the model. Single handle faucets are not generic and each has its own unique means of being repaired.

: : : Sir,
: : : I read your instructions on how to stop the leak from a two handle faucet and I looked at your diagram, but I have a single handle that controls both hot and cold water; how do I stop it from dripping?
: : : Thank you
