The check valve at the pump may have a toothpick or something like it stuck in the valve so that the water in the hose, which the check valve is supposed to keep there, is draining back into the dishwasher.
: My dishwasher was installed without an air gap. I keep experiencing large amounts of water left in the bottom after complete cycles. The whirlpool book said to check the air gap for a blockage. Since there is none, what else can I try to solve this problem?
