If the boiler or installed radiation is too small, then the system will run 24 hours a day trying to maintain the set temperature. Also, it the insulation is insufficient for your area, the same thing will occur even if the boiler is correctly sized for a normal installation. : My propane boiler heater,Unicore Boiler , costs about $250++ per month to operate in the Winter for a 2000 sq. ft home in Northern Michigan.( I also burn some wood just about every day in a wood burner). Is there anything i can do to lower the cost of operation???
