When a pipe is soldered, unless it was a terribly bad job, there is only a small ring of solder in contact with the water and that is covered with a protective patina in a very short period of time. What kind of junk is it? And who told you about it, a filter salesman? : : I have been told my copper pipes were soldered with too much junk which is coming out in my water. : : Is there some type of solution that can be run through the pipes to clean this junk out?
