We've just finished remodeling our house and we have the following problem. Every time we turn on our show faucet the pipe is start knocking and it seems it will stop after a few minutes. I suspect that when we turn on the hot water the water pipe expand and start knocking (hammering) and once the pipe warm up or in the after noon we don't have this problem. My hot water pipe (copper) is NOT insulated and it is on the attic (we have concrete slab floor). What cause the knocking and how do I fix this problem? Thanks! NetBaron |
