A 20" to 24" door is adequate and most common with a glass panel to fill the remaining opening. Larger doors have a tendency to sag and casue hinge and sealing problems.
: I currently have a bath that measures 6'x8' and would like to install a shower in the remodel. This is a small home built in the 20's and there is a closet that I think I can expand in to for this purpose. I need to know how much space I need to have a practical tile shower. My biggest concern is that the toilet may be in the way of a resonable size door. Right now I have 29" between the wall and the tank, can I get a door opening without moving the toilet over? I'm trying not to have to redo to much pluming but maby this is a dream.
