Well, I was charged $115 an hour. I called the guy at 7 AM and he cancelled his days appointment and came over and worked till 7 PM. Plumbers in my area still charge by the hour. When I called them a few months ago for something different, I was quoted hourly rates. : : What constitutes a "daytime emergency"? If it is before 8:00 a.m. or after 4:30 p.m. it would be overtime. Otherwise it should just be the regular rate times the amount of time used. : : : Had to have a plumber come out first thing the other morning and replace a well pump. also, had him replace two captive air tanks. I think his rate was more than exorbinant. What is a range of acceptable daytime emergency rates for the central Ohio area? Anyone have any idea? Appreciate any information. :
